Blue Mountain provides the Ration Formulas with the purchase of product. These rations are very precise to match the analysis of your ingredients. Therefore, we cannot give you the amounts of each ingredient used before purchase. To assist you to do a cost estimate of your finished feed formula if you require that information before purchasing a BM product. This cost depends, of course, on the local cost of needed ingredients supplied by you or your mill. You or your mill provide 93-95% of the total ingredients used in the Blue Mountain feed formulations. So therefore, in order for us to estimate your finished feed cost for you, we will need to know the costs of those ingredients purchased locally. Following is a list of the recommended ingredients that required from your location:

Forage Ingredient: 17% protein Alfalfa Meal or Ground Hay
Grain Ingredient: Corn/Maize (plus optional barley or wheat)
Protein Ingredient: 47% protein Soybean Meal
Secondary Protein: Wheat Middlings
Energy Ingredient: Vegetable Oil

to email your ingredient costs to Blue Mountain. Please include your location, specie and number of birds to assess volume. Volume influences the cost of the premix and the shipping costs - the greater the volume, the lower the costs per tonne.

Note: The greater the volume, the lower the costs. Groups of producers working in collaboration are able to achieve their ratite feed at significantly reduced cost than when working alone in small volume.
