The New Ostrich Industry

Tables 1 and 2 provide some comparisons on production statistics. The levels of production in the "current" column show lots of variables and levels of production that can never be commercially viable for a strong livestock production industry.

The levels of production in the "New Ostrich Industry" column are being, or have been achieved, by a few farmers. However, it is not known, at this time, of any farmer achieving ALL of these production figures ALL of the time. The fact that they can be achieved is an indication that they are all very achievable targets. These targets are required for the industry to be commercially viable and cost effective.
