Blue Mountain MVTM Ostrich Premix is a new Premix product designed for Ostriches. This product contains production performance levels of Minerals, Trace Minerals, Vitamins, and Additives.

MVTM is very concise premix package designed for large, vertically integrated Ostrich Production and Processing operations. These premixes come with full internet technical support on proper feedstuff ingredient selection, feed formulas, assistance in feeding management and farm management and a Blue Mountain recommended genetic improvement program.

The MVTM premix program is also ideal for ranchers who are grinding/mixing their own feed or having feed made up at a local mill.

The list of other ingredients needed to mix with MVTM premix is short and to the point for maximum productivity and ease of use.

Our recommended Blue Mountain formulas are provided with the MVTM premix product purchase. These formulas are perfectly matched to work together with the Blue Mountain MVTM premix product only.

There are 3 separate MVTM products available designed to meet the needs of any production Ostrich farm:

MVTM STANDARD:
This product is designed as a "one product fits all" age groups and situations. By adding a few extra minerals and vitamins for some bird groups, a starter, breeder, grower, or maintenance formula can be used. Blue Mountain ration formulas are provided with the MVTM premix purchase.

MVTM BREEDER:
This is a specific Breeder bird premix, totally complete, for Ostrich Breeder birds during the mating/laying season. It contains all the minerals, trace minerals, vitamins, amino acids, and additives needed. Specific Blue Mountain ration formulas are provided with the MVTM premix purchase.

MVTM STARTER:
This is a specific Starter Premix for Ostrich Chicks during the first 8 weeks of age. It contains all the minerals, trace minerals, vitamins, amino acids, and additives needed to grow strong, healthy chicks. Specific Blue Mountain ration formulas are provided with the MVTM premix purchase.

Total Feed Formula Costing Assistance

Since Blue Mountain ration formulas are ONLY provided with the purchase of product, we cannot give you the amounts of each ingredient used before purchase and you will need assistance to do a cost estimate of your finished feed formula if you require that information before purchasing a BM product. This cost depends, of course, on the local cost of needed ingredients supplied by you or your mill. 93-95% of the total ingredients used in the Blue Mountain feed formulations are provided by you, or your mill making the feed. So therefore, in order for us to estimate your finished feed cost for you, we will need to know the costs of those ingredients that will be purchased locally. Following is a list of the recommended ingredients that will be needed from your location:

Forage Ingredient: 17% protein Alfalfa Meal or Ground Hay
Grain Ingredient: Corn or Barley/Corn Mixture
Protein Ingredient: 47% protein Soybean Meal
Secondary Protein: Wheat Middlings
Energy Ingredient: Vegetable Oil
